Despite COVID lockdowns causing complete chaos, Ailish has managed to start her PhD in style. Ailish has superb pedigree, having been previously mentored by our former post-doc Marieke at University of Glasgow. Ailish secured an exceptionally competitive MRC DiMeN PhD fellowship and choose to come join VHIT. She is working on how patients with inflammatory skin diseases have different susceptibilities to arbovirus infection.
